This Agreement sets out the terms under which the Installer may operate under the Spire Renewables Elevate Program and complete heat pump installation works under the Spire Renewables MCS Umbrella Scheme.
The purpose of the arrangement is to ensure all installations comply with MCS requirements and are eligible for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (“BUS”) grant where applicable.
2. Types of Installation Arrangement
2.1 Installer-Owned Customer
Where the customer lead is generated by the Installer:
The Installer shall provide the customer and installation opportunity.
Spire Renewables shall provide system design support, commissioning, MCS certification and BUS administration services.
The Installer shall pay Spire Renewables the agreed fee for these services in line with the payment terms set by Spire Renewables.
Spire Renewables may be required under MCS rules to issue a separate contract directly to the homeowner at nil value for certification and compliance purposes.
The Installer remains responsible for all agreed installation works and customer-facing installation obligations.
2.2 Customer Supplied by Spire Renewables
Where the customer lead is generated or supplied by Spire Renewables:
The Installer shall act as a subcontractor to Spire Renewables.
Installation works shall be completed for the agreed fixed fee.
The Installer must not bypass, circumvent, or attempt to contract directly with any customer introduced by Spire Renewables unless given permission in writing to do so.
Where Spire Renewables has any involvement in customer acquisition, system design, quotation, or contract structure, the Installer must not remove Spire Renewables from any part of the transaction.
3. Pre-Installation Responsibilities
3.1 Responsibilities of Spire Renewables
Spire Renewables shall be responsible for:

Ensuring all MCS Compliant requirements are adhered to, or the customer is suitably informed that the system design will not comply (for example with undersized radiators in a particular room).
3.2 Responsibilities of the Installer

Identifying any site-specific issues before works commence.
Acceptance of the installation works shall confirm the Installer is satisfied that the design can be installed compliantly.
4. Installation Requirements
The Installer agrees to:

Complete the installation in a timely manner.
The period between delivery of the heat pump and commissioning must not exceed two (2) weeks unless otherwise agreed in writing by Spire Renewables.
Spire Renewables shall inspect the installation quality during commissioning.

7. Post-Commissioning Responsibilities
