You do not apply directly as a homeowner. The process is installer-led:
– Your chosen MCS-certified installer will check your eligibility and apply for the grant on your behalf
– Ofgem will contact you to confirm your consent and eligibility – you must respond within 14 calendar days
– The grant is deducted upfront from your quote, so you only pay the remaining balance as the homeowner
– Once the installation is complete and checked, your installer claims the grant from Ofgem
