MVI Process

myVAILLANT MVI Scheme

The myVAILLANT MVI scheme enables installers to gain practical experience by installing a Vaillant heat pump in their own property, with full technical and compliance support.

Programme Benefits

Through this programme, installers may receive:

  • Access to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), subject to eligibility
  • MCS-compliant system design and certification support
  • Assistance with commissioning and regulatory documentation
  • Guidance with grant and compliance paperwork

For eligibility under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) and the myVAILLANT Install scheme, all installations must be carried out by an MCS-certified installer or under the supervision of an approved MCS umbrella provider.

Participation in the MVI scheme is intended to support installer development, improve technical competence, and support progression towards independent MCS certification, with technical and compliance support provided throughout the installation process.

Registration & Scheme Requirements

  • Registration via Spire Renewables or Vaillant.

  • Location of ASHP unit and connections will be planned.
  • A formal quotation will be issued.

The final invoice will reflect BUS grant deduction only after OFGEM confirms voucher redemption.

Exclusions – Additional Components & Heat Emitters
  • Additional system components beyond BUS funding must be paid upfront.
  • Heat emitters are not included and must be sourced separately.
  • System cleaning/power flush is strongly recommended before installation.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)

BUS applications are assessed by OFGEM. Approved applications receive a £7,500 voucher valid for 12 weeks.

  • Work cannot start until voucher approval.
  • Additional documentation may be required:
    • Planning permission
    • Title deeds
    • Material invoices
    • Valid EPC

The heating engineer must provide all documentation promptly to avoid delays.

Important Conditions
